LSC Basketball Championship

2009 LSC BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The Lone Star Conference Basketball Championship is set to be played in Bartlesville, Okla., for the second time in 2009. The tournament will feature eight men's and eight women's teams and is scheduled for an exciting five-day run from March 4-8. Reserve your tickets now and join your favorite team on "The Road to Bartlesville!"
Tournament action starts with women's first-round games on Wednesday, March 4, while men's first-round action begins Thursday, March 5. Women's semifinals will be played Friday, March 6. On Saturday, March 7, fans can see men's semifinals played in the afternoon and the women's championship that night. The festivities conclude Sunday afternoon, March 8, with the men's championship game.
The LSC is using a predetermined tournament site for the first time in more than a decade, and Bartlesville's Bruin Field House is the first host facility in a truly neutral location. The 2009 tournament marks the second of a three-year stay in Bartlesville as the Bartlesville Sports Commission has agreed to serve as the host agency through 2010.

TICKETS
Tickets will be available at the Bruin Field House ticket gate, where regular prices will be $55 for an all-session pass or $12 for a single-session ticket. The tournament is divided into eight sessions over five days.  College students must present valid I.D. at the Bruin Field House ticket gate to purchase student tickets ($27 for an all-session pass or $7 for a single-session ticket).

First-round games will be played in two doubleheader sessions (starting at Noon and 6:00 PM) on Wednesday, March 4. Semifinal contests will be played in a doubleheader session (6:00 PM) on Friday, March 6. The championship game will be played in its own session at 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 7. The tournament winner will earn the LSC's automatic berth to NCAA postseason play, which begins March 13 at campus sites.
