Four student-athletes earned Lone Star Conference Softball Player of the Week honors for their performances last week, league officials announced today.
LSC SOFTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
LSC North Hitter
Alley Roberts, University of Central Oklahoma
Jr., Second base, Pawnee, Okla./Pawnee
Roberts keyed a 5-1 week for the Bronchos by hitting .550 with
three home runs, one double, one triple and six RBI. She had
11 hits in 20 at bats and also scored seven runs as UCO swept a
four-game LSC North series from Southwestern Oklahoma and split a
doubleheader with Midwestern State. Roberts had a solo homer
in a series-opening 2-0 win over SWOSU, drove in two runs in a
come-from-behind 7-6 win over the Bulldogs and had two hits with
another solo homer in a series-ending 4-1 win.
LSC North Pitcher
Alli Blake, University of Central Oklahoma
Sr., Pitcher, Oklahoma City, Okla./Putnam City North
Senior star led UCO to a 5-1 week in LSC North Division action,
pitching in five of the six games and going 2-0 with two saves and
a 1.57 ERA. Blake allowed just five earned runs in 22 1/3
innings and didn't walk a batter while striking out 11. She
tossed a complete-game four-hitter in a series-opening 2-0 win over
Southwestern Oklahoma and also picked up the win in 5-3 victory
over Midwestern State. Blake earned two saves in UCO's
four-game sweep of SWOSU, giving her seven already this season to
break her own single-season school record of six.
LSC South Hitter
Laura Lopez, Angelo State University
Jr., Catcher, San Diego, Calif./Bonita Vista HS
Lopez went 10-for-18 from the plate as she sparked the No. 4-ranked

games, including nine RBI in ASU's three-game weekend set with West
Texas A&M. She went 7-for-9 with three doubles, two home runs
and five runs scored in the three games with the Lady Buffs. Lopez
hit the second grand slam of her career in Friday's 8-0 win over
WTAMU. Her five RBI in that game is one shy of the ASU record. She
entered the week hitting .222 and is now hitting .306, raising her
average 84 points in seven games.
LSC South Pitcher

Tarleton swept a doubleheader from No. 9 St. Mary's and a
three-game series against Eastern New Mexico to go 5-0. Saulters
pitched 21.0 innings in three complete games, allowing just five
runs (four earned) and striking out 15 batters. Opponents hit
just .190 off the senior as she recorded one win against St. Mary's
and two against ENMU. She had a complete game shutout against
the Zias on Friday. Saulters struck out seven Lady Rattler
batters and eight total Zias on both days.
