LSC Golf postseason awards announced
Central Oklahoma's Colby Shrum and Tarleton State's Carla Cooper were honored as Lone Star Conference Players of the Year Sunday night as the league's annual postseason golf awards were announced at the championships banquet, held in conjunction with the LSC Championships at WinStar Golf Course.
League officials announced the all-conference teams and individual awards at the banquet. This marks the fifth year for golf's postseason awards to be voted on by league coaches. Before, all-conference honors had been determined only by results at the LSC tournament.
Shrum, the reigning player of the year, has recorded two wins along with six top-4 finishes in nine tournaments amid a 71.58 scoring average. With eight top-10 finishes, the junior is ranked second in Division II according to Golfstat.
