Football: ACU to host Northwest Missouri on National Television

For the fourth straight year, a Lone Star Conference football team will be featured in a nationally televised game as Abilene Christian hosts Northwest Missouri State on Thursday, August 27. The Wildcats and Bearcats will open the season at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene, Texas. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on the CBS College Sports network.

Knox, Null and Scott selected in 2009 NFL Draft
4/26/09 - Former Lone Star Conference standouts Johnny Knox, Keith Null and Bernard Scott were selected Sunday on the second day of the 2009 NFL Draft. Knox went to the Chicago Bears with the fourth pick of the fifth round (140th overall), Null was 23rd pick of the sixth round (196th overall) by the St. Louis Rams and Scott was the final pick of the sixth round (209th overall), going to the Cincinnati Bengals.

12/12/08 - FLORENCE, Ala. - Abilene Christian running back Bernard Scott's goal before the 2008 season was to be in northern Alabama in mid-December to pick up two trophies: a Harlon Hill as the nation's top player and the NCAA Division II national championship trophy.

11/29/08 - One week after executing its offense to near-perfection in scoring 93 points against West Texas A&M, the second-ranked ACU Wildcats were nowhere near perfection in a 45-36 quarterfinal loss to third-ranked Northwest Missouri State.
