Baseball: ACU, TAMUK fall at regional
Abilene Christian and Texas A&M-Kingsville were both eliminated from the NCAA Division II South Central Region baseball tournament hosted by Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss.
The Wildcats won their opening game, 8-7, over West Alabama before falling to Ouachita Baptist, 10-5, and Southern Arkansas, 9-8, while the Javelinas lost their first two contests to Delta State, 9-3, and SAU, 15-3.
ACU's successful season ends at 44-17, while TAMUK, the Lone Star Conference champions, finished with a 31-31 mark overall.
OBU has advanced to the championship round and will play either DSU or SAU on Monday for a spot in the World Series.
