Baseball: UCO, CU and TAMUK pull off upsets at LSC Championship
It was a day of upsets as the 2008 Lone Star Conference Baseball Championship began Saturday in Abilene, Texas.
The tournament started with No. 5 seed Central Oklahoma topping second-seeded Angelo State, 13-2. No. 4 Cameron continued the trend with a 20-2 triumph over No. 3 Southeastern Oklahoma State, before No. 6 Texas A&M-Kingsville edged top seed and host Abilene Christian, 5-3.
The four-day, six-team, double-elimination tournament continues Sunday with games at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. ACU plays ASU at 11 a.m., while TAMUK and SOSU square off at 3 p.m., and UCO and CU will meet at 7 p.m.
