Brown, Morris pick up weekly honors
Texas A&M-Kingsville's James Brown and Tarleton State's Danny Morris were named Lone Star Conference Baseball Players of the Week for their performances last week, the league office announced today.

Brown had seven hits in seven consecutive at bats after going
5-for-5 in a win over Texas A&M-International and then picking
up two hits in his first two at bats against East Central on
Saturday. Brown helped lead the Javelians to a 4-1 record
last week. He went 3-for-4 in game one against East Central
and 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored in game three.

Morris pitched a three-hit complete game shutout in Tarleton's 9-0
win over Cameron on Sunday. Morris worked the entire 9.0
innings while striking out five Aggie batters and allowing just two
walks. He allowed just three singles in the
first, third and fourth innings, but retired the side
three-up-three-down in innings five, seven and wight. Morris
improved to 3-0 on the season with the win.
