Eusebio, Elkind garner weekly honors
Northeastern State's Joel Eusebio and Angelo State's Kenny Elkind earned Lone Star Conference Baseball Player of the Week honors for games last week, the league office announced today.

Junior Joel Eusebio had a fantastic opening weekend as the
RiverHawks completed a double header sweep of #20 Central Missouri
on Sunday. Eusebio has a batting average of .750 and a
slugging percentage of 1.625. In game one, his three run led
to a four run inning in an 8-6 victory. In the nightcap,
Eusebio's triple started a seven run inning as the RiverHawks held
on for a 9-8 win. He was equally as productive in the field,
assisting on seven plays at third base.

Kenny Elkind, Angelo State University
Jr., Pitcher, Folsom, Pa./Ridley
In his first career-start at Angelo State, Kenny Elkind tossed
eight innings of three-hit ball for his first win, a 2-1 decision
over Forth Hays State. The lone run he surrendered was a solo
shot to lead off the top of the second. Elkind had 10
strikeouts while walking one and only two people reached third base
against him.
