LSC student-athletes honored by DII ADA
Lone Star Conference members Angelo State, Cameron, Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman's each had student-athletes recognized as inaugural recipients of the Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA) Academic Achievement Awards presented by WeatherPORT.
The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, have attended the nominating institution a minimum of two years (or four semesters) and have been an active member of his or her intercollegiate team during the 2007-08 academic year.
Sixty-seven NCAA D-II institutions participated in the program this year with 2,188 student-athletes honored. TWU had 26 honorees, ASU 23, CU 17 and A&M-C 13.
