Kissorio, a redshirt freshman, won the 6-kilometer Midwestern State Stampede with a time of 18:33.85. He finished better than 20 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Texas A&amp;M-Kingsville topped top-ranked Northwest Missouri State, 16-7, while Abilene Christian defeated No. 9 Washburn, 34-26, in non-conference action.  The Javelinas upset the Bearcats on the road to earn their second ever victory over a No. 1 ranked team in school history and the Wildcats won its third-straight season opener against a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association opponent.  Six teams - Kingsville, ACU, Midwestern State, Angelo State, Northeastern State and Texas A&amp;M-Commerce - picked up wins to start the season 1-0. League opponents include three top-10 ranked squads in the American Football Coaches Association Preseason Poll (8/9/10) as No. 16 Texas A&amp;M-Kingsville plays at No. 1 Northwest Missouri State, No. 11 West Texas A&amp;M faces No. 2 Grand Valley State on the road and No. 7 Abilene Christian travels to No. 10 Washburn. BLACKWATER DRAW, N.M. &mdash; After enduring more than two hours in weather delays, the Eastern New Mexico University football team (1-0) used quarterback Wesley Wood&rsquo;s (So., Muleshoe, Texas/Muleshoe HS) 391 passing yards and seven touchdown performance to defeat the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene (0-1) by a 59-21 score, Saturday night at Greyhound Stadium. Matt Kalisch (Sr., DE, Harker Heights, Texas/Harker Heights HS/NMMI) paced a stingy defense which shut out SNU in the second half and allowed just two third-down conversions over the final 30 minutes of play.

Nick Hardesty completed  32-of-46 through the air for 355 yards and four scores to pace the  Reddie offense.  Four different recievers found themselves ont he  receiving end of touchdown passes.   For SE, Logan Turner  completed 26-of-48 for two scores and 205 yards in his first action as  the Savage Storm starter.  His TD's went to Mike Hill and Caleb jones,  while Robbie Morris hauled in eight receptions for  83 yards.   HSU outgained the Storm by a 469-to-304 margin, mounting a 21-6 halfitme lead before holding on for the win.
