Baseball: Javelinas win first regional title

Texas A&M-Kingsville defeated Colorado Mesa, 12-5, on Sunday to win the South Central Regional title and advance to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship for the first time in program history.

The Javelinas move on to the double-elimination championship finals May 26-June 2 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

TAMUK went through the regional 4-1 defeating Mesa twice, West Texas A&M and Colorado Mines.
