LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll announced

The Lone Star Conference announced Wednesday that 1,213 student-athletes have earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll honors for the 2017-18 fall semester.
 
      Texas A&M-Commerce posted the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll with 160 members.  West Texas A&M was second with 158 honorees, while Eastern New Mexico and UT Permian Basin tied for third (140), and Angelo State was fifth (132).
 
      The final count included 330 students with a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.  ENMU led the list of flawless marks with 48 individuals, while A&M-C had 44, WT 40, and ASU 38.
 
      Softball claimed the top spot on the list of perfect marks with 48, followed by football (42), volleyball (32), women’s soccer (31), and women’s track and field (29).
 
      The Commissioner’s Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester.  To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
