The Lone Star Conference announced Wednesday that 882 student-athletes have earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll honors for the 2014-15 fall semester.
For the second year, the Commissioner’s Honor Roll is being announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester. Previously, the honorees qualified by GPA for the current academic year and were announced at the end of the spring academic term.
West Texas A&M placed the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll with 180 members. Eastern New Mexico was second with 136 honorees, while Angelo State ranked third with 119.
The final count included 231 students with a perfect 4.0 GPA for the year. WT led the list of flawless marks with 63 individuals, while ASU had 33, Texas A&M-Commerce had 28, and ENMU 27. Volleyball topped the list of perfect marks with 25, followed by baseball and football with 24 each, and women’s basketball with 23.
To be eligible for the Commissioner’s Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be active on the roster.
