Tennis: ACU women fall in national semifinals

Abilene Christian’s run at the 2012 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championships concluded in the semifinals with a 5-0 loss to BYU-Hawai'i.

The Wildcats impressive season ends at 26-4, as they were swept in doubles for the first time all season. ACU defeated Indiana (PA) and Lynn in the Round of 16 and quarterfinals, respectively.

Cameron dropped its Round of 16 match to California (PA) 5-2. The Aggies finished the season with a 23-5 record, which is the winningest season in program history. Additionally, CU made its second consecutive trip to the national tournament.

On the men’s side, ACU blanked Northern Kentucky 5-0 to open the championships, before falling to Lynn 5-3 in the quarterfinals. The Wildcats successful 2012 campaign ended at 21-9.
