Cameron’s Trey Lawson tied for fourth at the NCAA Division II Midwest/South Central Regional to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships.
The finals will be held May 15-19, at The Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, Ky., as part of the 2012 Division II Spring Championships Festival.
Lawson wrapped up the three rounds at even-par 216 (74-71-71) to be one of the top-two student-athletes not with a team to qualify.
Cameron finished tied for seventh (890), Midwestern State was ninth (895), Abilene Christian tied for 10th (896) and West Texas A&M 13th (902).
Central Missouri won the 20-team event at 864, with Washburn (876), Central Oklahoma (877), Indianapolis (880) and St. Edward's (884) claiming the other four qualifying spots.
