The Abilene Christian men’s and women’s squads along with Cameron’s women’s team have advanced to the 2012 NCAA Division II Tennis Championships, which will be played in Louisville, Ky., May 16-19, as part of the 2012 Division II Spring Championships Festival.
The Round of 16 starts on May 16, with the ACU women against Indiana (PA) at 7 a.m., while CU plays California (PA) at 10 a.m. The Wildcat men will face Northern Kentucky at 1 p.m.
ACU (24-3) topped St. Edward’s 5-0 on the women’s side, to send the Wildcats to nationals for the 17th consecutive year.
On the men’s side, the Wildcats (20-8) blanked Northwest Missouri 5-0, for their sixth straight national berth.
The Aggies secured their second consecutive trip to the national championships by defeating Southwest Baptist 5-2. The CU squad is now 23-4 on the season, making it the winningest season in the program’s history.
