Texas A&M-Commerce junior Andrew Davis was tabbed Academic Player of the Year to top a list of five players selected for the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Men’s Basketball Team, it was announced Tuesday by league officials at the LSC Awards Banquet in Allen, Texas.
To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must have reached sophomore status and carry at least a 3.30 grade point average. The All-Academic Team is selected from the list of academically qualified players, with the league’s sports information directors voting on the basis of both academic and athletic achievement.
Joining Davis on the All-Academic Team was teammate Desmond King, along with Eastern New Mexico’s Kyle Lantz and West Texas A&M’s David Henderson and Justin Tubb.
