The top six Lone Star Conference baseball teams will meet in Abilene, Texas, next weekend for the annual LSC Baseball Championship.

   The tournament features six teams for the sixth straight year.  The double-elimination event begins on Saturday and concludes on Tuesday. All games will take place at Crutcher Scott Field on the campus of Abilene Christian University. 

   LSC champion Incarnate Word is the top seed and also claimed its first-ever league title in their initial season. Southeastern Oklahoma is the No. 2 seed, while Tarleton State is third, followed by Cameron at No. 4, Southwestern Oklahoma at No. 5 and Texas A&M-Kingsville at No. 6.

   Here's a look at the tournament schedule:

2011 LSC BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Game 1— No. 1 Incarnate Word vs. No. 6 Texas A&M-Kingsville, 11 a.m.

Game 2— No. 2 Southeastern Oklahoma vs. No. 5 Southwestern Oklahoma, 3 p.m.

Game 3— No. 3 Tarleton State vs. No. 4 Cameron, 7 p.m.

Game 4 – Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, 11 a.m.

Game 5 – Winner Game 1 vs. Loser Game 3, 3 p.m.

Game 6 – Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3, 7 p.m.

If four teams remain after Game 6, the following schedule will be followed:

Game 7 – Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6, 11 a.m.

Game 8 – Winner Game 4 vs. Loser Game 6, 3 p.m.

Game 9 – Winner Game 8 vs. Loser Game 7, 7 p.m.

Game 10 – Winner Game 7 vs. Winner Game 9, 1 p.m.

Game 11 – If necessary, same teams as in Game 10, 5 p.m.

If five teams remain after Game 6 and two after Game 9, the following procedure will be observed:

Game 7 ­– Loser Game 5 vs. Loser Game 6, 11 a.m.

Game 8 – Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 4, 3 p.m.

Game 9 – Winner Game 7 vs. Winner Game 6, 7 p.m.

Game 10 – Winner Game 9 vs. Winner Game 8, 1 p.m.

Game 11 – If necessary, same teams as in Game 10, 5 p.m.

If five teams remain after Game 6 and three after Game 9, the following schedule will be followed:

Game 9 – Winner Game 7 vs. Winner Game 6, 7 p.m.

Game 10 – Loser Game 9 vs. Winner Game 8, 1 p.m.

Game 11 – Winner Game 9 vs. Winner Game 10, 5 p.m.
