Angelo State and East Central will square off at 12 p.m. Saturday in the title game of the Lone Star Conference Softball Championship at the Durant Multi-Sports Complex in Durant, Okla.
The Rambelles will be playing for the fifth conference title in school history after topping ECU 4-1 in the winner’s bracket game, while the Tigers came back through the loser’s bracket with a 2-1 victory over Central Oklahoma to earn a spot in their first championship final.
The winner will earn the LSC's automatic bid into the South Central Regional, which will be played in two four-team, double elimination tournaments at campus sites during the weekend of May 14-16. The field will be announced at 9 a.m. Monday, May 10, via a webcast selection show on NCAA.com.
