Cross Country: Three compete at NCAA Championships

Abilene Christian's Amos Sang finished fourth, Cameron's Julius Korir placed 23rd and Tarleton State's Jared McNeil was 34th at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on the campus of Southern Indiana Saturday afternoon.

It was a tight finish as the top four spots were only separated by 11 seconds. Sang ran the 10-kilometer course in 30:48.0 for a fourth place finish and All-American honors.

Korir capped off his season with a 23rd place finish with a time of 32:06.1, which was fast enough to earn All-American status as well.

McNeil finished with a time of 32.27.2, finishing 34th to become Tarleton's first-ever Cross Country All-American.  He is now a two-time All-American after capturing the same honor this past spring in track and field.

Reuben Mwei of Adams State won the individual title with a time of 30:27.8. He led the Grizzlies to the team championship as well.
