No. 13 West Texas A&M defeated Truman State 1-0 on Sunday afternoon on their home field in Canyon, Texas in the second round of the NCAA South Central Regional.

The Lady Buffs' Becky Hewson put home a shot early in the second half and goalkeeper Kelly Skehan made three saves to preserve the shutout victory.

WTAMU (15-2-3) will play No. 22 St. Edward's on Friday in San Diego, Calif. at 6:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to the national quarterfinals. The teams played Sept. 11, with the Lady Buffs winning 1-0.
