Central Oklahoma lost to St. Edward's on penalty kicks 5-4 on
Friday night in San Antonio, Texas, in the first round of the NCAA
South Central Regional after neither team was able to score during
90 minutes of regulation or two 10-minute golden goal overtimes.
UCO (14-6-3), who won the Lone Star Conference title on PKs over
West Texas A&M, saw their NCAA regional end by shootout for the
third time in five years.
WTAMU (14-2-3) will play at home in Canyon, Texas on Sunday at 1
p.m. against Truman State, who defeated Nebraska-Omaha 1-0 on
Friday. The Lady Buffs received hosting rights and a first-round
bye due to their No. 1 regional seed.
